Rob Lowe: Allegations Are Hurting My Work Prospects

Actor Rob Lowe reiterates in a sworn declaration that he never "acted inappropriately" with two former nannies and says allegations by the women are costing him considerable work opportunities, City News Service reports.

Lowe and his wife Sheryl sued the ex-nannies, Laura Boyce and Jessica Gibson, in April for allegedly breaching confidentiality agreements with the celebrity couple. Both women then countersued the Lowes.

The actor states that the allegations, coming after claims already made by Gibson, are costing him a lot of money. "Since the headline that a second nanny sued me for sexual harassment, I have been passed over for at least three commercials, any of which could have ultimately resulted in income of over $1 million," Lowe says.

"I have never acted inappropriately with Ms. Gibson or Ms. Boyce," Lowe states in a declaration filed Wednesday with Judge Maureen Duffy-Lewis in Los Angeles, according to City News Service. The declaration is in support of Lowe's opposition to a motion by Boyce to dismiss his lawsuit.

Boyce has moved to dismiss the celebrity couple's lawsuit on grounds that it infringes on her right to free speech. Boyce is also getting some help with her motion in the form of a court declaration from Gibson, who is involved in separate dueling lawsuits with the Lowes in Santa Barbara.
